West Newton, MA · Boston. Film. Technology. Family.

About
I grew up shaped by volunteers — YMCA, community theater, people who showed up because they enjoyed it. I hope to give back similarly.
Now we're at another hinge moment in history, as the world figures out what to do with AI. I have a lot of faith in people. I love ideas. I love music. And I love people — most of them, most of the time.
West Newton Cinema Foundation
I'm on the board of the West Newton Cinema Foundation, the nonprofit that owns and operates the West Newton Cinema. The cinema has been a gathering place in this community for decades. We bought it to keep it that way.
I'll be moderating a panel discussion following a screening of The AI Doc — a film examining artificial intelligence and what it means for all of us. These Behind the Screen events are some of my favorite things we do at the cinema: bring people together, watch something that challenges them, and then actually talk about it. Come if you're curious, skeptical, excited, or all three.
We run Behind the Screen panels, a Directors Spotlight series, Producers Circle events, and Ty Burr's Movie Club — if you're in the Boston area and love film, come find us.
The Rest of It
One of the most reliably human places I know. Folk music, and the community around it, reminds me that people are fundamentally good at making things together.
I love having ideas. More than that, I love actually doing something about them — building the product, testing the theory, finding out if the thing works.
I've spent 20 years building software. What's happening now is different. I'm trying to help shape it in a direction that's good for people — not just productive for businesses.
My family keeps me honest, keeps me grounded, and reminds me regularly that I don't know everything.
